Tis the season for extravagant trees in the living room, bright lights around the house, and cheesy yet adorable Santa, reindeer, and manger scene statues. Ah yes, it's Christmas decorating time. It's time to impress the neighbors, family, and friends with decorations collected from garage sales all the way to fancy department stores. Although Christmas is supposed to be a joyful and relaxing time of year it seems as though we can always find someone in our lives who is stressing out about a couple broken bulbs on a light strand or the fact that their favorite tree ornament is missing. But really, let's be honest, we can't all have a Rockefeller tree in our house or a crazy house lights display like Clark and the Griswolds from Christmas Vacation. Although we can't have these things we can still make our house beautiful, welcoming, and cozy for the holiday season. I made a list of 10 decorating ideas that are simple and easy but will brighten up a room and make your home holiday-ready.
